Oak Bluffs, MA at a Glance
Caressed by the shores of the Nantucket
Sound, Oak Bluffs on the island of Martha's
Vineyard is known for its miles of sandy beaches and historic gingerbread-like
cottages. Located on the northeast tip of the island, this community is home to
Martha's Vineyard's largest marina
as well as the country's oldest operating platform carousel, known as the Flying
Horses Carousel. A resort community, Oak Bluffs boasts a unique accommodation
experience in the downtown core. Visitors are welcomed to stay in Victorian-style
cottages characterized by manicured grounds, white picket fences and brightly
colored exteriors complete with front veranda. The downtown also offers visitors

Summertime sees a number of events and festivals for visitors and residents such
as the annual Oak
Bluffs Harbor Festival, the August Fireman's Association Fireworks and Illumination
Night at the cottages.
