Originally built in 1799, Aquinnah Light still stands by the Aquinnah Cliffs. The original bricks used to build the lighhouse were made with clay from the cliffs and the light, which was considered to be the "strongest light on the northeast seaboard," was fueled by spermaceti from the "Right Whale."
